Lady with Unicorn AD 2004
Oil on canvas 100 x 100 cm
The Unicorn is one of the most cherished personages of antiquity, because those who succeeded in gaining
its trust were also given back their innocence. Because that is needed to unravel some of the most important
secrets of creation, like for example the meaning and seize of the Apple from the Tree of Knowledge, the
latter being in flames while gloriously a phoenix rises from its ashes. Lastly it may be said that the Unicorn
as an artistic metaphor of our Gentle Redeemer represents a symbol of the first magnitude.
